Julia is 23 months old! She now weighs 25.8 lbs (gained about half a pound). Her length is now 34 1/4 inches (grew 1/2 inch since last month).
Our poor girl had a 102.2 fever today, but it did go down when she was given acetaminophen. Hopefully she is better really soon!
In her 22nd month (May), Julia learned 62 new words: Bandaid (she had blisters on her ankles, from mommy not putting socks on w/her shoes), basket, birthday, booger, Calico (character from a book), catch, choking, clock, clown, color, crazy, dell (farmer in the dell), dinner, eight, flag, flamingo (mingo), Goofy, heater (weater), heavy (when she's carrying the weight of something), hippo, hungry, lamp (wamp), lips, lizard (wizzar), lobster (We went to Red Lobster for my dad's birthday), meerkat, Meghan (friend of mommy's), mermaid, Mike (from Monsters Inc), Nemo, nine, Oscar (Sesame Street), people, pick, Pluto, pray, pretzels (kretzels), run, sea lion (line), seven, shampoo, shoulders, sing, Skittle, soap, spit, squelch (in the mud-from a book), story, strawberry (strawbee), tail, tire, together, train, triangle, trouble, warm, wave (action), whoops, wipes, zebra, zipper, zoo

She also just started saying, "Listen to Daddy" and "God Bless You."
potty training: Julia is not fully potty-trained yet, but goes almost anytime we take her to the bathroom. During the month of May, she had on average one accident every 3 days, so I've been keeping her in a pull-up. She wears a diaper to bed, but she has gone up to 5 nights in a row, accident free.
Julia newest song: "Head, shoulders, knees & toes." She doesn't know the whole song, but she points out all the body parts mentioned in the song and she sings the first phrase really well.
shapes: This month she learned to identify 5 of the basic shapes: circle, heart, square, star, triangle. She loves her magna-doodle (she got for Easter) and likes to guess what the picture is when we draw for her. Daddy is the artist in our family, but she can usually guess what mommy is drawing anyway.
Each morning prior to breakfast, Julia enjoys sitting in front of the kitchen sink cabinet on the floor mat where we have a heater vent. She loves the warm air that comes out. And she grabs my hand and says "come on" to go sit with her. Too bad there won't be too many more mornings we can do this...the heater isn't so necessary now...we wake up to 67 degrees in the house. Maybe I can still turn on the fan for her that comes through that vent (we don't have air conditioning).
