Julia's development at age 2

Julia just turned 2 two days ago! Yesterday we weighed and measured Julia. She weighs 26.4 lbs and her height is 34 5/8 inches. Today she went for her physical. Their measurements were a little different: 26.6 lbs (close to the same) and 33 1/2 (over an inch off?) She is in the 50th percentile for both height and weight.

I stopped writing down Julia's words when Bradyn was born, but this last month she learned on average 3 words per day. The collection of words within her first two years of life was 540 plus whatever words I didn't get a chance to write down.

I can hardly believe that Julia is now two!! Julia truly enjoyed her birthday...and fourth of July with both sides of the family.

Julia, here are some memories we have for you:

- You are 26 lbs and around 34 inches talls (in the 50th percentile for both height and weight).

- You are wearing a size 2t or 24 months, although 18 months clothing still fits.

- Your shoe size is a 6.

- Blankets have become your favorite comfort item. You love to be covered up.

- You start your day by going potty in the toilet and then get your sippy cup of milk. We are so proud to say you are potty-trained now.

- You go to bed around 9 or 10 and you usually wake up around 7 or 8.

- You still eat baby food bananas, peas, etc.

- Candy is your favorite dessert, even over ice cream!

- You love to sing songs. Some of those include: It’s A Small World, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Twinkle Twinkle, On Top of Spaghetti, Happy Birthday, Jesus Loves Me, Head Shoulders Knees and Toes, No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed, Alphabet song, Farmer in the Dell

- Your favorite DVD’s to watch lately include Lilo & Stitch, Snuffy from Sesame Street “On Top of Spaghetti” song

(with her hands up in the air), take a picture, smile (also for taking a picture), come on (to get us up to go play with you)..there are so many more I hope I can remember them forever!

- You know about Jesus and pray to him during each meal and before going to bed.

- You love going to church and playing in the nursery.

- You love your mommy and daddy and we love your hugs and kisses.

- You love going to Grandma & Grandpa’s house.

Julia,
You continue to brighten each day of our lives, so for that we cherish each day that we have with you. We thank the Lord every day for the joy and love you have brought into our hearts. You are one of the biggest blessings that God has given to us! Your words/smile/laugh/etc. melt our hearts. Our hope is that these memories will be forever embedded in our minds. Daddy and I love you so very much!! Happy 2nd Birthday Julia Grace!
